“Oh,  hey  there  Kerrie,  I’m  from  Universal  Records. We heard your CD and our director is very impressed.”

“My CD?” I say, glaring at Joshua who’s sitting across the  room.  He  shakes  his  head  innocently.  I  mouth  the words  “Yeah,  right”  to  him  before  saying,  “Oh  yes, my CD. I’m glad the director was impressed.”

“Well,  the director was so  impressed  that he decided to  sign  you  as  one  of  our  newest  artists! Now, we will arrange for a day for you to come down and we’ll get the paper work done. Bye!”

“Bye?”  I  say,  still  overwhelmed  by  what  she  said.  Suddenly, the reality of the whole thing hits me.

“I’M GOING TO BE A SINGER!”
